ok, most of you who see me on a daily basis have noticed that over the last few years, i have put on some poundage. well, during christmas i was at my witts end. i decided to use all my christmas money and join la weight loss. well, they say by may 5th i will be back at my marrying weight!!! i can't believe it. so far i have lost around 10 pounds. i have several family members also doing this with me. so i will keep you posted on my journey! it has been a little struggle so far cuz i miss my dr. pepper, my taco cabana, basically all my junk food!! but it is worth it.

my friend andrea and i went to our church's ladies retreat down in galveston at the tremont hotel a couple of weeks ago. the weather was fabulous...the teaching .... ok..... the time away, a blast. here we are after eating at a fish place on the water. you can seen the oil rigs being worked on behind us.

latest news

ok, i know it has been a while, but we have been so busy. here's a snapshot of what we've been up to. first, i have agreed to help out my sister in law at the daycare she co runs. their pre-k 5 class is in some serious need of a few things...namely discipline and class structure. so i have been busy with that. also, on friday (after visiting with the teacher and my sister in law, steph) i was on my way home and stopped at a red light when i was rear ended. it was raining and the roads were very slick. then on saturday we (paul, cole, my father in law John, and my bro in law, John Jr. and I) went to the RV show here in Houston. because i love camping, i totally loved going in and out of each RV i saw. OH, i forgot to mention that cole has come down with a very nasty cough deep in his chest...started last friday night. so on sunday when i awoke, my left shoulder and back were stiff and in pain. i called on monday to make an apt. with my fabulous chiropractor, Dr. Stacy, and called the insurance company of the person who hit me. i made an appointment to have my car fixed and a meeting with the adjuster to have a discussion of my medical needs, etc. so with everything going on with that and the normal every day issues, i have hardly had time to take a shower or eat, let alone post a blog. (Yes, i have taken showers!!) anyhow, here are some pictures as of late. Here are Coles latest acheivements: sitting up on his own, rocking back and forth on his hands and knees, falling asleep on his own hallelujah, continuing to hold bottle.

some of cole's newest accomplishments are: clapping, holding own bottle and scooting around the floor on his back. its just a matter of days till he's crawling.... this morning he was bringing his knees up under him and pushing out. he wants so badly to be moving. :) i guess my training for the triathalon is coming shortly. :)

grandpa's bday

yesterday was my dad's bday and the family (minus Paul and Trey) went to Papasitos for lunch. we had a good time. here are a few pics.
